Gwendolyn Huszar
Gwendolyn J. (Davis) Huszar, age 90, passed away Friday morning June 27, 2025 at home. She was born March 19, 1935 in Bedford, Pennsylvania.
She grew up in Painesville, Ohio graduating from Harvey High School, and then working for TRW. She married Ronald S. Huszar in 1954 and they had a son Ronald P. Huszar. They lived in Fairport Harbor, and were very involved with the Fairport Volunteer Fire Department, the Mardi Gras, and the Hungarian Reform Church.
They moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1977 where they enjoyed boating, and fishing. Gwen worked for what eventually became Bank of America, until her retirement. She was very involved with American Eskimo Dog Rescue, which they adopted several. She was also active in the Dog Obedience Club of Hollywood.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ron at the age of 50. After her son passed away in 2020, Gwen moved back to Lake County, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her parents: Raymond J. Davis, and Bronwen E. Davis, and her three brothers; Owen Richard Davis, Raymond Paul Davis, and Donald Philip Davis.
She is survived by her sister Carol Dubeansky, and sister-in-law Linda Davis as well as many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Services will be at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH 44077 on Wednesday August 6, 2025 at 11:00AM with a luncheon to follow.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Gwendolyn Huszar to Zion Lutheran Church, Attention: Jenny Davis Funds, 508 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, OH 44077.
