Deborah Lynn Jasik Passed away peacefully April 12,2016 57 yrs. old. Debbie was also known as D.J. to friends and family. Survived by loving partner Daniel Adkins, Sister Patricia husband Dale their children Rita, Dale Jr and Jessica McConnell. Brother Jeffrey and sons Jeffrey Jr. and Mark. Preceded in death by Parents Aloysius and Ada Jasik, also youngest sibling Robin Plaisted.

Howard “Bud” Goble age 81 of Mentor. Passed away on April 10, 2016 at Tri Point Medical Center. Beloved husband of Dora (nee Patrick); Dearest father of Laura G.; Dear grandfather of Paul and Amber Molan; Howard worked as an electrician for Conrail for 43 years. He was a member of AM Vets Post #40. The family would like to thank Drs. Lobins and Saltzman, Lake Health University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center Staff, Day Treatment Staff, and especially his nurse Cheryl for their loving care.

Vickie “Kitty” L. McKinney (nee Maxwell), 52, of Mentor, OH passed away suddenly on Saturday April 2, 2016. She was born on April 2, 1964 in Euclid, OH. Vickie was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was a devoted mother to son Cody M. McKinney (Fiancé Danielle Golias); she is survived by her step father Greg Gurtler, siblings Karin (Ken) Leverenz, Debi (John) DeNicola, Bill Maxwell, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn Joyce Gurtler (Kalchert), father Cleveland Maxwell; and brothers Jim Maxwell, and Tom (Max) Maxwell.

January 10, 1943 - April 2, 2016
John F. Long age 73, passed away on April 2, 2016 in peace, after a long battle with COPD and Cancer. He was born in Saxton, PA on January 10, 1943. John worked at Phoenix Gear in Arizona before retiring. He brought his family to Ohio in 2004, so his wife could care for her mother and step father (Frank and Margaret Kolk). He is survived by his wife of 35 years Paulda; his children Nicholas, Jason and Theresa Ubinski; his grandson Nicky Jr. “his little buddy”, 6 granddaughters and 2 grandsons; his sisters Alice Lemin, Shirley Fleck, Beverly Fleck, and Donna Mellot; Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Russell and Irene Long; Brothers: Bob, Jim and Glennie.

Regina I. Byrd age 78, passed away on March 16, 2016. Diane F. Landis age 63, passed away on March 1 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved mother of Matthew Beattie (Dawn); Dearest daughter of Marshall (deceased) (Dolores) and Helen (deceased); Dear sister of Susan, Marcia Clark (Kenneth, deceased), Paul, Kenneth (Ellen), Karen Jachter (Dave), James, Linda, and Barbara; Dear aunt and friend of many. CARLOS LONG
January 27, 1952 - February 27, 2016
Carlos Long was born on January 27, 1952. He was born to the late Gladys (Fowler) Long, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Alfonso Long of Hazard, Kentucky. He was the fourth born of twelve children. While growing up Carlos and the family attended Southern Baptist Church under Pastro Robert Hill's leadership.
Carlos was a person that truly enjoyed life. He loved reading. If you gave him a book, he would have it read in three days, and then want to tell you about it. He loved old music. Chuck Berry, O-Jays, and The Spinners were some of his favorites. He also loved watching old westerns and cartoons. Most importantly, Carlos loved his family.
He was always there to help out when he could and he was extremely protective of his sisters. He was always ready to defend them by saying "I got some big hammers for them" that is for anyone that dared to bother his sisters. Carlos was extremely fond of Mazine. He often referred to her as his twin. She loved Carlos, she would always speak on his behalf.
Carlos was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Gladys and Alfonso Long. His brother, Billy Ray Long, and his niece Le-Shandra Long.
He leaves to morn for him his daughter, Nedra Smith and two grandchildren, William and Michael Smith.
He leaves four brothers: Will Gus, Robert, Richard and Samuel Long; six sisters: Christine, Maxine (Melvin) Templeton, Carline (Mark) Rice, Henrietta Long, Jewell (Abdullah) Mubarak, and Ellen Long; and a host of neices and nephews.

Duane Delbert Wilfong age 90 died peacefully after his struggle with cancer on February 20, 2016. Duane was born February 15, 1926 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. He and his wife Viola, age 91, have resided in Ohio since 1951. 59 of those years at current address of Jordan Drive, Mentor, Ohio. Duane is survived by his wife, Viola; daughters, Lonna Kuntz (Fred) of Painesville OH, Dianna Zalar of Painesville OH, Johanna Bush (Larry) of Hawley PA; son, Clarence Wilfong (Janene) of Toledo OH; stepdaughter, Donna Diercks of Phoenix AZ. 17 Grandchildren; 35 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren. Survived also by brothers; Raymond (Edna), Warren (Dolly), Corbett. He is preceded in death by his son Duane L Wilfong; parents; brothers; Norman (Leta) and Starling; sister; Mary (Angel). Duane was a retiree from the FP&E Railroad in Fairport OH. Duane Wilfong served proudly in the United States Army. He was Honorably Discharged November, 1946. He served his country in the 1st Battalion 11th Airborne Division. Duane was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and Occupation Ribbon for his services. In accordance to Duane's wishes, there will be no services or calling hours. Dorothy A. Sklenar (nee Burr) age 91, of Mentor died on February 9 at Heartland of Willoughby. She was born June 3, 1924 in Painesville. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Martha Oakley “Marty” (nee Lukshaw) and her five grandchildren. She belonged to the Mentor Community Church of God and was an avid bingo player. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband James Sklenar and son Johnnie JohnLukshaw. Private family services and burial at Windsor Township Cemetery will be held at a later date. Borys "Bo-Bo" Korduba, Sr. (69) passed away Sunday 01/17/16 at SW General Hospital after complications from surgery. Youngest son of George and Maria Korduba (deceased); little brother of Taras and Zdan Korduba (deceased); loving father of Borys Jr., Andrew and Lisa Korduba.

Veronica DeMeza (nee Krukowski), age 60, passed away on January 16, 2016, at home surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer. She was born July 10, 1955, in Cleveland, and lived in Willowick for the last 26 years. She is survived by are her loving husband of 41 years, Ronald B. DeMeza; daughters Elena Marie DeMeza-Jeavons and Roni Beth Schimmels, Jr. (David); sister Barb Dietrich, and brother James Kurk. She was also a doting grandmother to Kyle, Samantha, Ethan, Alison, and Sydney. She was taken from us too soon and will always be remembered.
Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:00pm on Monday, January 25, 2016 at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake, followed by a brief service. A private internment will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 for the immediate family at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.

November 4, 1926 - January 9, 2016
Rudolph Knific “Rudy” age 89 passed away January 9 at Hospice of the Western Reserve, surrounded by 4 generations of his family. Always sharing a smile, joke or laugh, Mr. Knific was beloved by his community, friends, and all who came in contact with him and his upbeat approach to life. Genuinely interested in others, he was never too busy to learn about them and their families.
A graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Music with a specialization in the double bass, Mr. Knific pursued his career performing in various venues while developing, owning, and operating an independent insurance agency. After 38 years in both industries, he retired yet maintained his active interest in music by playing with The Hillcrest Community Orchestra and Lakeland Civic Band. He was also an active member of Rotary and a past Master of Lion Heart Lodge achieving 32nd Degree.
After retiring, Mr. Knific enjoyed traveling with his wife, woodworking, outdoor activities, attending the theater, spending time with his family and his “kids”.
He is survived by his wife, Zita, sister Gloria Pracek, children Randolph (Karen), Thomas (Renata), and Donald, grandchildren John (Christine), Gene, Carrie, Christopher, Nina and David. He was predeceased by his parents and brother John.
According to Mr. Knific’s wishes no wake will be held and funeral services are private.

Josh loved his family and lived for the time he spent with them; on walks, sharing meals, and hanging out by the fire or pool. He was a fan of the Buckeyes, the Browns and all other sports. He was athletic and was an excellent golfer, always showing off his skills to his grandfather, “Pa.” He enjoyed the constant care packages sent to him by his grandmother, “Nana.” Josh was enthusiastic about the possibilities life held for him, and was committed to the Lord, carrying his Bible with him everywhere. He had a great sense of humor and was loved by all. The greatest love of his life was his daughter, Sophia; his happiest moments when he was hugging or playing with her. His family was proud of him and acknowledges how hard he tried to succeed. He is now at peace. ~John 3:16~
A celebration of Josh’s life will be held on Sunday, January 17th at 2pm at Willoughby United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Joshua A. Kless Memorial Fund at Huntington Bank. All funds will be donated to local organizations that are committed to helping those who are fighting addiction, including the Lake House in Painesville, Ohio.

Gary Joe Rice, 57, a resident of Geneva, OH for the past 4 years, passed away on December 31, 2015. He was born on January 24, 1958 in Painesville OH. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Mentor, He is survived by his wife Donna Horwatt Rice; siblings Ronald Rice, Sharon Vanstone (Chris); son Christopher Rice (Corianna); grandchildren CJ, Kirsten, Kassie Cudnik; uncle Ralph Freeman; niece Linda Owens. Gary was preceded in death by his parents George and Glenna Rice; sisters Deborah A. Kerby, Caroline Elaine Rice; grandparents Thelma and Glenn Freeman, Irene and James Rice; uncle David Freeman.
A graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson, OH on Friday January 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.

E. KARL KMENTT
March 12, 1929 - December 27, 2015
E. Karl Kmentt, age 86, of Concord Township, Ohio passed away December 27, 2015 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille, sister Elfrieda Lewis and brother Richard Kmentt.
Karl leaves behind his daughter, Kimberly Kmentt of Littleton, CO; son, Dr. Bradley Kmentt, daughter-in-law Diana, and grandchildren Ashleigh and Michael of Kirtland, OH; his beloved dog Bogie; sister Hildegarde (Curly) Thomas of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; brother Waldemar Kmentt of NC; and special nieces Jean Farinacci of Cuyahoga Falls and Judy Taylor of SC and many other loving family and friends.
Karl was a native of Akron, OH and a lifelong employee of the General Electric Co. He was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns, an avid golfer and enjoyed many friendships as part of the Quail Hollow C.C. “Dawn Patrol”. His only regret is NOT being able to vote against Hillary Clinton in the next presidential election.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karl’s memory to the Lake Humane Society or to Hospice of the Western Reserve both in Mentor, Ohio.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00 am.
