 A mass followed by a celebration of her life for Margaret (Peggie) Steele, age 77, will be held on Saturday November 18th at noon at St. John Vianney Church and Father Kline Center located at 7575 Bellflower Rd, Mentor.

After fighting a heroic and courageous battle with cancer for the past 7 years, Peggie became an angel on Tuesday, October 24th surrounded by her husband, daughters (husbands), sister and niece.  Throughout her battle she remained active, she was a member of the Willoughby High School Class of “57 Reunion Committee, member of F.O.E. Willoughby, had monthly luncheons with her previous “Xerox” girls and was an active member of the St. John Vianney Cancer Support Group.  Peggie loved Bingo, Bowling, Bunco, visiting Casinos and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ronald Clyde, her daughters, Nikki (Jarrett) Domoracki, Tammy (Ricardo Jr.) Villarreal, and Lesa (Dave) Kempert. Grandchildren Dr. Nicole Craker, Gabrielle (David) Gann, Ricardo III, Dominique, Danielle, and Kirsten Villarreal, Courtney, Lauren, Josh and Amber Kempert, sisters Doreen Zanghi and Lynn (David) Brinkman, Brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.  Peggie was a beloved friend to Kathy Riley.  Peggie is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Rose Morenz, brothers Ronald and Ralph Morenz and sister Sherry Zurinsky.

Joe went home to be with his Lord Jesus after an illness. He is survived by his sister Lillian Worthy-Everett-Vargo, his nephews Donald, and Mark Everett (Deborah), and his niece Traci-Everett-Tramte (Richard). Joe was a proud US Navy Veteran.

There will be a memorial service at Lakeshore Assembly of God in Mentor, OH on 10/29/17 at 6p.m. A private ceremony will be conducted at a later date.

Phyllis C. Rowland (nee Smith) age 90 passed away peacefully on September 3, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan.  She is survived by her two children, Dan Rowland of Bedford Heights, Beth Rowland of Shaker Heights, step daughter, Diane Focht of Lincoln, Nebraska and her brother, Harry Smith of Willoughby, Ohio and multiple nieces and nephews, friends and adopted grandchildren that she loved and cherished.Phyllis spent many happy years working at the Cameo Gift Shop in Chagrin Falls along with her friends, Art and Rollie until the shop closed in 2006.

Preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Maggie (nee Miller). Marc was an avid guitarist.

Daniel Louis Ober, born October 3, 1944. Beloved husband of Carol (deceased) and Sue (deceased); father of Deanne (Rudy) and George; grandfather of Jessica (Joe, deceased), Pauline (Andrew), Destiny (Dan), and Faith; great-grandfather of Allen, June, April, Amber, and Isabella; son of Donald and Violet (both deceased); brother of Judi and Doris; Brother in law and dear friend of Ed (Sue). Daniel was a Christian and had an extended family with his church. He enjoyed being outside cutting grass and fishing. He loved animals and flowers. Dan was a very kind, generous, and sweet man. He also worked with his uncle Jim training race horses. He was a hard working man who loved his family and friends.

A memorial service given by Dave Roberts will be held Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at The Lake Church of Christ 8435 Auburn Rd., Chardon, OH 44024. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Gregory J. Lonchor, age 55, born on December 29, 1961, entered into eternal life, surrounded by loved ones, on September 10, 2017, after a valiant battle with Glioblastoma. Greg cherished the outdoors and all that nature provided; be it harvesting his garden, creating beautiful landscapes or skiing down the snowy mountains of Colorado.  He was a quiet, gentle, and loving soul preceded in death by his father, Joseph L. Lonchor. Greg is survived by his mother, Sandra (Gaggiani) Lonchor and siblings Jeffrey (Susan) Lonchor, Christine Lonchor, Gina Benoit, Beth Ann (Scott) Siskind, and Jaci Lonchor. Lifelong friend and loving companion to Mary Saltsman and her daughters Megan (Nic) Carucci and Sarah. Uncle of Valerie, Greg, Katie, Adam (Kristen), Joey (Lauren), Jeffrey, Robert, Collin, Rachel, and Mckenzie. Great uncle of Owen, Corey, and Izabella. Loving Dad to his Canine family; Yogi and Tazz.

A celebration of life honoring Greg will be held at St. John of the Cross (formerly, St. Felicitas) Catholic Church in Euclid, Ohio, on Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at 11:00am.

The family suggests contributions be made to one of the following in memory of Greg: St. Jude; Lake Humane Society; Hospice of the Western Reserve.

It is with great sadness, that the family of Elliot Anthony Spikes announces his passing on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the age of 34 years. Elliot, affectionately called El, was born in Painesville, Ohio on September 26, 1983. He attended Painesville City Public Schools. Elliot’s favorite pastimes were playing golf and basketball. He also was an expert Chess player and he usually won over his family and friends. He loved to cook and often he would experiment on his family with his custom creations. El liked to draw and became quite good at it. Elliot, named by his friends “Big El”, “El Dog”, “Elli ante” was very popular and he had many friends. Elliot had so many wonderful qualities. He was creative and very intelligent, with so much potential and he loved his family very much. As he made his transition from life to to death, Elliot leaves to mourn him, parents, Antonio and Kimberly Ann (Marshall) Brooks, father, James (Nookie) Spikes; 2 brothers, Reggie Brooks and Patrick Spikes; 1 sister Kasanie Brooks; Grandparents, James and Janie Spikes, Grandfather Earl Tuff; Beloved Grandmother Ruth Marshall and Great Grandmother Daisy Landingham precedes him in death. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Brooks, Spikes, Marshall and Landingham families, and a host of relatives and friends. As we, his family and friends bid him farewell, be it known to all, Elliot will be truly and sorely missed.

Patricia A. Keverkamp, age 76, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Hanna House of University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born February 9, 1941 in Kent, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Bissler. Patricia is survived by her children, Kathie Corona and John (Diane) Keverkamp; grandchildren, James Corona, Anthony Corona, Jessica (Colin) Gregg, Kathryn Keverkamp and Lukas Keverkamp; great-grandchildren, Cameron Gregg and Jameson Gregg; sister, Florence (George) Veon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucille Bissler; brothers, Jack Bissler and Donald Bissler.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, Ohio.

Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Randolph, Ohio.

Mary Lou Kuzel (nee Janezic), age 83, of Wickliffe, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Heartland of Willoughby. Mary Lou was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 21, 1934 the daughter of John and Mary (nee Sraj) Janezic.    She worked for Ohio Bell and later worked as a real estate agent for many years.  She enjoyed needle -point, Bingo, Pinochle, and going to the Wickliffe Senior Center. Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Mary Ruth McCormick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Kuzel; parents John and Mary (nee Sraj) Janezic; brother, John Janezic.

At her request there will be no funeral services.

Julius Franklyn Orosz born on November 8, 1944 in Painesville Ohio. Past away peacefully at David Simpson Hospice house in Cleveland on August 8, 2017.
He attended Painesville Harvey High School and Mentor High School. He joined the Army in 1962 and served 5 years. Survived by children Douglas Orosz (Gina), Jeffrey Orosz (Josie), Melanie Orosz (David Trivette), Randy Orosz (Laura), Tracy Orosz (Stacy), Jessica Orosz (Keith Dunbar), brothers, Mike Petrowski (Corie), Paul Petrowski (Judy) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by father Julius T. Orosz, mother Emma Jane Petrowski, brothers James and Eugene Petrowski.

Burial at Riverside Cemetery at 10 am 385 Riverside dr., Painesville Ohio and a Celebration of life will follow at Paine Falls 5570 Paine rd. Leroy Township, Ohio

Kim was a 1985 graduate of Mentor High School. She is survived by her brother Robert Easter Jr. (Wendy) of Willoughby, her sister Anita Maltry of Colorado, her friend Joe Liptak, and her beloved parrot Pablo. Preceding her in death was her half-brother Danny Hill.

Beloved husband of Roberta (nee Hart); father of Linda Pazemis (Val); grandfather of Christopher and Val Jr.; son of Ernest Sr. and Katherine Dennis (deceased); brother of Arthur (Elaine), and Robert (all deceased); Ernest was a proud US Army Veteran, a member of the Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church.  He worked at Hillside dairy for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family.

A service will be held on Monday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum Chapel 11521 Chillicothe Rd. Chesterland, OH 44026.

Gregory Blatnik age 45. Beloved brother of Carlette Hengst (Patrick), Barbara Dougherty (Ed), Ray Adams (Kathleen), Pat Adams (Andrea), Michael Adams (Gail), Tim Adams (Julie), Marty Adams (Barb), Nick Adams (Peggie), Katherine Zalar (William), and Mary Ellen Layman (Joe); uncle of Jennifer Hengst; nephew of Kathy and Gary Kattler;  dear friend of Tami Masten, his long time employer; uncle, cousin, and friend of many, who will miss him dearly.  He was preceded in death by his parents Carol and Austin Adams, and Ray Blatnik.  Gregory was a 1990 graduate of Wickliffe High School.  He worked for over two decades at El Charrito and Mario's Tap House in Wickliffe. He will be fondly remembered by his managers and co-workers for his dedicated hard work and sense of humor. Robert A. Kato Sr. age 86, passed away on July 15. Farewell to you my family and friends. If you are reading this, I met my end…Please do not weep or be sad…because as you all know Seneca Casino will be so glad. Do not think of me as dead…think of the fun times like Cooler Head. The crazy times that we remember…of past days, and fun times in the summer. Recall those memories in your mind, those are truly the ties that bind. I will not have a wake to view me…remember me as you knew me. There will be a memorial mass on Saturday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua 521 Plum St. Fairport Harbor, OH. Friends will be welcomed beginning at 10:00 a.m. My notable accomplishments…beside what you remember me for…are serving in the Korean War, a Western Reserve Yacht Club Executive Board member, and the craziest Fleet Captain ever. I was also a member of Jefferson Eagles, The Hungarian Culture Club, and the V.F.W Post 7754. Born April 26, 1931. Son of Helen and Andrew Kato (both deceased) I leave behind my beautiful wife Barb of 54 years (what a saint), my children Robert Jr. (Colleen), Michael (Janet), George, Denise O’Donnell (Jack), Kim Graham, Kathy (Dave Hill), Step children William Peadon (Linda), Michael Abbott and my beloved grandchildren Kyle and Connor O’Donnell, Joe and Elizabeth Graham, Kristi (Bert Karlovec), Tricia (Chris Young), Jacque Kato, Allison Lenze (Traver), and several great-grandchildren. Flora Zelda Rains

June 27, 1928 - July 6, 2017

Flora Zelda Rains went home to be with her Lord on July 6th, 2017, at Precious Care Assisted Living in Concord, OH. She was born in Biltmore, NC to the late William J & Sallie (McAbee) Wright on June 27, 1928. She was a resident of Cleveland Ohio for the last 54 years. Flora was a woman of deep faith, who loved her Lord Jesus, and loved her family. She was an RN for 30 years, and even after retirement, never stopped looking after those around her. She was a wonderful loving, caring, giving person who enjoyed serving people, playing the piano for church, and had the gift of hospitality which she used well and often. She was an avid reader, loved to sew, play Uno with her grandchildren, and show her love for others by feeding them.  She will be remembered not only for her kind and loving spirit but also for her homemade chicken soup, cinnamon rolls, chocolate chip cookies, fudge, and chocolate-covered cherries. Her greatest joys were her family and friends, and her deepest desire was for them to all come to know and love her Jesus, also. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ova C. Rains, and her sister Virginia (Ginger) Wright. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Haney, Melissa (David) Johnson , her son-in-law Nick Theodosion, and grandchildren Callie Theodosion, Sophia (Riza) Agushi, and Daniel Theodosion. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 15th, at 10:30 at Bible Community Church, 8600 Lakeshore Blvd, Mentor, Oh, with calling hours at 9:30 a.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Flora's memory to Moody Bible Institute, 820 N. LaSalle Dr, Chicago, Il 60610. Also suggested is Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave, Cleveland, OH 44110.

Joe Stoddard, age 96 of Maple Hts., passed away peacefully on June 27 with his 3 loving daughters Joanne Cash, Ellen Lampert (Mark), and Linda Green by his side. They will miss him dearly. Loving grandfather of 5, great-grandfather of 6, dearest brother of Allan, Irene Rice, and Jack (all deceased), dear brother-in-law of Frank Rice, dear uncle of many. Joe was born on July 15, 1920 in Stoney Creek, Ontario. He was a proud Canadian Veteran who served during WWII and a long time member of the PGA. He loved to travel and lived his life to the fullest.

 A private family service will be held in Stoney Creek, Ontario at a later time.
