John C. Nemeth
June 22, 1923 - December 17, 2017
John C. Nemeth age 94 Beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Poremba) (deceased); father of Deborah A. Gabriel and Barbara L. Bennett; grandfather of Megan Nemeth-Saucier (Steven), Kyle R. Gabriel, and Tyler Inman; brother of Steve, Margaret, Katherine, Julia, Mary, Rose, Joseph, and Alice (all deceased). John was a proud US Navy Veteran, a loving dedicated husband and father, who enjoyed his family and friends. He loved to make people laugh and left a lasting impression upon everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by those closest to him.
Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
Josephine L. Conti
March 28, 1935 - December 14, 2017
Josephine L. Conti (nee Scibana) age 82, passed away on Thursday, December 14, surrounded by her family. Her beloved husband of 58 years, William D. Conti, passed away in 2014. She was the loving mother of Frank, Bill (Betty), Ron, Joe (Lisa), Andrew (Althea), Gina Luberger (Jeff), and Thomas (Michelle); grandmother of Biagio, Lauren, Dominic, Jimmy, Nicholas, Anthony, Joey, Giulia, Sergio, Gianna, and Josephine; great-grandmother of Hannah, Frankie, and Biagio. Josephine had a zest for life and took great pride in raising her children. She loved hosting family gatherings, cooking Sunday dinners, crocheting, and gardening.
Services will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 at St. Noel Church 35200 Chardon Rd. Willoughby Hills, OH 44094. Family and friends will gather at 9:00 a.m., and the service will follow promptly at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
Roland MacDonald Jr.
March 5, 1935 - December 5, 2017
Roland “Mac” MacDonald Jr. passed peacefully December 5, 2017 with his family by his side at the Hospice of the Western Reserve. Following college, he was an Army officer and spent his career in sales at Corning Inc. In his younger years he was the life of the party and will be remembered with a smile by all whom he touched. He loved dancing, playing golf, and boating on Chautauqua Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents Roland and Ethel MacDonald and is survived by his wife Ruthanne, sons Scott (Shelley), Keith (Ingrid), and Joshua (Michele), sister (Sherry Barnett), and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH.

Beloved husband of Vera (nee Phipps); father of Timothy Phipps, James Jr., Matthew, and Mark (Paula); grandfather of 8; great-grandfather of 2; brother of Nancy Adzema, Barbara Jean Burns (deceased), Richard, Patricia Brown, and George Jr.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 10-11a.m. at Vito-Nero Funeral Home 6130 Turney Rd. Garfield Hts., OH (2 blocks south of Rockside). The family requests no flowers.
Robert Walter LaForce
November 21, 1951 - November 18, 2017
Robert Walter LaForce, age 65, of Concord Township, passed away November 18, 2017 at his home from pancreatic cancer. Robert was born in Painesville on November 21, 1951, the son of the late Robert E. and Margaret (nee Horvath) LaForce and remained an area resident his entire life, living in Willoughby and Concord Township. He attended school in Willoughby, then went on to graduate from Ohio University and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. He also spent 3 years in the US Marine Corps before being honorably discharged. After graduation, Robert worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Lake County and then had a private practice for many years. Outside of his profession, Robert was an active member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and volunteered for many area non-profits. He served on the Board of Head Start, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, served on the United Way Committee, and was a volunteer attorney for Hospice of the Western Reserve and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. In his spare time, he enjoyed infrared photography and won several ribbons for his work and was proud to have 3 of his pictures wrapped around utility boxes in Painesville.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sandra S. (nee Fanslow); children, Melanie LaForce, PhD (Dave Abbott) and Dustin LaForce; siblings, Cheryl (Brian) Rice, Caren (Tim) Tennant, Connie (Ed) Orosz, and Kevin (partner, Jill Oster). He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joey LaForce.

Beloved son of Gerald and Patricia (nee Curtis); brother of Jo Warner; boyfriend of Andrea Thompson; step father of Robin and Ian Thompson; grandfather of Santina; Brian was a graduate of Euclid High School and worked with Andrea at Northstar Auto Sales in Eastlake on Vine St.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW on Vine St. (behind Save-A-Lot).

David Clinton Frank, 62, of Geneva-on-the-Lake, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at UH Geauga Medical Center in Chardon. David is survived by his son, Michael Frank; brother, Fred Frank, Jr.; granddaughter, Jessica Frank. He was preceded in death by his parents, Holly Frank and Fred Frank, Sr.

Rev. Montford C. Coon Ph.D. "Ned"
December 21, 1935 - November 9, 2017
Rev. Montford (Ned) Coon Ph.D. was born on December 21, 1935, to Imogene (Valley) Hundley and Montford J. Coon in Carson City, NV. Ned studied throughout his life. His thirst for knowledge led him to a Doctorate in Philosophy in 2016 plus he became an Ordained Minister in 1996.Ned served from 1953 to 1958 in the Army - 40th Tank Division. He was retired but had worked in many fields. The work he loved the most was engineering in which he exceled. He loved life and all aspects of it. He enjoyed sharing his theories on life and death with as many people as possible. He also enjoyed a good debate. Ned cherished spending time with his family, camping, fishing, boating, golfing and working in his woodshop when he was able. He was currently writing a book on learning about life and religion. Ned was truly blessed. He departed this life on November 09, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, step father, Wilson Hundley and sister, Ermalyn Hecker. He leaves to cherish His memory his wife of 58 yrs., Laura Coon, son Montford C. (Ruth) Coon, Jr., son Kenneth R. Coon, daughter, Tammy L. (Daniel) Brown, 3 Grandchildren – Michael A. Fry, Jasmine M. Wood, Jeffrey Coon, and 2 Great Grandchildren- Nina and Charles (Charlie) - sister – Dawn Barber and Brother- in-Law- Bruce Hecker plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.

January 15, 1958 - November 6, 2017
The mom. The wife. The legend. JoAnne took care of and cared for everyone close to her. She loves when the family was together playing card games like Rummy, Spades and Skip-Bo. JoAnne also loved cottage ham and potatoes, Lilacs, Niagara Falls, Asian gardens, Almond Joys, German chocolate cake, and Santana. She was survived by her loving husband Charles of 29 years. JoAnne also has 2 sons (Mike and Berto) along with a daughter (Missy). She has 2 wonderful granddaughters (Kaileigh and Celena). JoAnne worked as an Administrative Assistant at MeisterMedia Worldwide for 18 years until her retirement in 2016.

Margaret A. Steele "Peggie"
December 26, 1939 - October 24, 2017
A mass followed by a celebration of her life for Margaret (Peggie) Steele, age 77, will be held on Saturday November 18th at noon at St. John Vianney Church and Father Kline Center located at 7575 Bellflower Rd, Mentor.
After fighting a heroic and courageous battle with cancer for the past 7 years, Peggie became an angel on Tuesday, October 24th surrounded by her husband, daughters (husbands), sister and niece. Throughout her battle she remained active, she was a member of the Willoughby High School Class of “57 Reunion Committee, member of F.O.E. Willoughby, had monthly luncheons with her previous “Xerox” girls and was an active member of the St. John Vianney Cancer Support Group. Peggie loved Bingo, Bowling, Bunco, visiting Casinos and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ronald Clyde, her daughters, Nikki (Jarrett) Domoracki, Tammy (Ricardo Jr.) Villarreal, and Lesa (Dave) Kempert. Grandchildren Dr. Nicole Craker, Gabrielle (David) Gann, Ricardo III, Dominique, Danielle, and Kirsten Villarreal, Courtney, Lauren, Josh and Amber Kempert, sisters Doreen Zanghi and Lynn (David) Brinkman, Brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Peggie was a beloved friend to Kathy Riley. Peggie is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Rose Morenz, brothers Ronald and Ralph Morenz and sister Sherry Zurinsky.

Joe went home to be with his Lord Jesus after an illness. He is survived by his sister Lillian Worthy-Everett-Vargo, his nephews Donald, and Mark Everett (Deborah), and his niece Traci-Everett-Tramte (Richard). Joe was a proud US Navy Veteran.
There will be a memorial service at Lakeshore Assembly of God in Mentor, OH on 10/29/17 at 6p.m. A private ceremony will be conducted at a later date.
Phyllis C. Rowland

Phyllis C. Rowland (nee Smith) age 90 passed away peacefully on September 3, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan. She is survived by her two children, Dan Rowland of Bedford Heights, Beth Rowland of Shaker Heights, step daughter, Diane Focht of Lincoln, Nebraska and her brother, Harry Smith of Willoughby, Ohio and multiple nieces and nephews, friends and adopted grandchildren that she loved and cherished.Phyllis spent many happy years working at the Cameo Gift Shop in Chagrin Falls along with her friends, Art and Rollie until the shop closed in 2006.

Beloved husband of Jane (nee Funk); father of Montana, Tiffany Funk, Danielle Jenkins; grandfather of Jalen Jenkins; brother of Fredrick, Libbie (Tom) Fisher, Mary Head, Toni Summers, Kathy (Randy) Mead; uncle and friend of many. Preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Maggie (nee Miller). Marc was an avid guitarist.

Daniel Louis Ober, born October 3, 1944. Beloved husband of Carol (deceased) and Sue (deceased); father of Deanne (Rudy) and George; grandfather of Jessica (Joe, deceased), Pauline (Andrew), Destiny (Dan), and Faith; great-grandfather of Allen, June, April, Amber, and Isabella; son of Donald and Violet (both deceased); brother of Judi and Doris; Brother in law and dear friend of Ed (Sue). Daniel was a Christian and had an extended family with his church. He enjoyed being outside cutting grass and fishing. He loved animals and flowers. Dan was a very kind, generous, and sweet man. He also worked with his uncle Jim training race horses. He was a hard working man who loved his family and friends.
A memorial service given by Dave Roberts will be held Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at The Lake Church of Christ 8435 Auburn Rd., Chardon, OH 44024. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Gregory J. Lonchor, age 55, born on December 29, 1961, entered into eternal life, surrounded by loved ones, on September 10, 2017, after a valiant battle with Glioblastoma. Greg cherished the outdoors and all that nature provided; be it harvesting his garden, creating beautiful landscapes or skiing down the snowy mountains of Colorado. He was a quiet, gentle, and loving soul preceded in death by his father, Joseph L. Lonchor. Greg is survived by his mother, Sandra (Gaggiani) Lonchor and siblings Jeffrey (Susan) Lonchor, Christine Lonchor, Gina Benoit, Beth Ann (Scott) Siskind, and Jaci Lonchor. Lifelong friend and loving companion to Mary Saltsman and her daughters Megan (Nic) Carucci and Sarah. Uncle of Valerie, Greg, Katie, Adam (Kristen), Joey (Lauren), Jeffrey, Robert, Collin, Rachel, and Mckenzie. Great uncle of Owen, Corey, and Izabella. Loving Dad to his Canine family; Yogi and Tazz.
A celebration of life honoring Greg will be held at St. John of the Cross (formerly, St. Felicitas) Catholic Church in Euclid, Ohio, on Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at 11:00am.

It is with great sadness, that the family of Elliot Anthony Spikes announces his passing on Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the age of 34 years. Elliot, affectionately called El, was born in Painesville, Ohio on September 26, 1983. He attended Painesville City Public Schools. Elliot’s favorite pastimes were playing golf and basketball. He also was an expert Chess player and he usually won over his family and friends. He loved to cook and often he would experiment on his family with his custom creations. El liked to draw and became quite good at it. Elliot, named by his friends “Big El”, “El Dog”, “Elli ante” was very popular and he had many friends. Elliot had so many wonderful qualities. He was creative and very intelligent, with so much potential and he loved his family very much. As he made his transition from life to to death, Elliot leaves to mourn him, parents, Antonio and Kimberly Ann (Marshall) Brooks, father, James (Nookie) Spikes; 2 brothers, Reggie Brooks and Patrick Spikes; 1 sister Kasanie Brooks; Grandparents, James and Janie Spikes, Grandfather Earl Tuff; Beloved Grandmother Ruth Marshall and Great Grandmother Daisy Landingham precedes him in death. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Brooks, Spikes, Marshall and Landingham families, and a host of relatives and friends. As we, his family and friends bid him farewell, be it known to all, Elliot will be truly and sorely missed.

Patricia A. Keverkamp, age 76, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Hanna House of University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born February 9, 1941 in Kent, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Lucille Bissler. Patricia is survived by her children, Kathie Corona and John (Diane) Keverkamp; grandchildren, James Corona, Anthony Corona, Jessica (Colin) Gregg, Kathryn Keverkamp and Lukas Keverkamp; great-grandchildren, Cameron Gregg and Jameson Gregg; sister, Florence (George) Veon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucille Bissler; brothers, Jack Bissler and Donald Bissler.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor, Ohio.
Inurnment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Randolph, Ohio.
