Lester J. Edge

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news of the passing of husband, brother, uncle and friend, Lester J. Edge. He died peacefully on December 10, 2020 surrounded by the love sent from many. Lester was born in on March 2, 1951 to the late Ellaweise and James Edge. He was married to Andrea Russo for 31 years. Lester grew up in Oakwood, Ohio, and graduated from the Bedford School System. He lived in New York for several years as a young man. After moving back to the Cleveland area, he worked for Silverman’s, received an Associate Degree from Cuyahoga Community College. He retired, due to health reason, from Valtronics in 2008 where he was an electronics technician.

Lester will be remembered as a quiet, kind, and generous man who loved and took great pride in his family and friends. As a mentor to many he used humor peppered with wisdom to guide and nurture. He loved to travel.  One of his favorite destinations was Minnesota’s Leach Lake with members of the Dunlevy Clan and of course cruising with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and bowling as well as being a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan. The memories he made and shared: stories of growing up with what seemed like hundreds of cousins, golf trips with the “guys” and many adventures with his best friend Geoff. There is so much more, and all will be remembered and cherished. But for now, we will remember the knowledge and compassion of this man that we will forever hold in our hearts. 

Lester is survived by his wife, Andrea Russo of Cleveland Heights, and sister Yvonne Edge of Euclid, Ohio. Sisters-In-law: Elnora (Madison), Justin (Rufus), Margie (Richard), Joann Jones and Carmella Fletcher; Brothers-in-law: Bob Fletcher and Thomas Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lester was preceded in death by his brothers, Madison, Rufus and Richard and sisters, Cora, and Bernice. 

Rest well sweet prince, it has been a privilege knowing and loving you. We will announce a celebration of his life at a later time.

Louis V. Mosely

Louis V. Mosely age 88 of Mentor, formerly of Lima OH. Passed away on December 10 2020, at his residence in Mentor, OH.  He was the second child to Louis Sr. & Geneva Mosely. His sister Gwendolyn Ruth Bailey proceeded him in death.

Louis was an affectionate man with great wit knowledge, skills, and had a captivating smile.

After graduating from Washington High School, he entered the U.S. Army.  There he received numerous medals and excelled in sharp shooting.       

He worked up to his rank of Corporal during the Korean Conflict.

After servicing he attended Central State University pledged to the Omega Psi Phi Inc. Fraternity. There he met and married Peggy Joyce DeFoor.  To this union one child Stephanie Giselle was born, who later graced him with one grandson Nathan Eugene Yancey II.

In 1977 he married Gwendolyn White.  Quickly embracing her 2 daughters Toni Joy and Crystal Joi as his own and was given the name Papa Lou.

The Mosely’s moved to Lima, OH owning several exceptionally manicured properties, and remained there for 29 years.

Louis had many talents and hobbies. They owned and raised dogs and horses.  He was a member of Ohio Horse Council riding on many trails and riding in fairs.  He was also a Mason member and National Rifle Association.

His hobbies included wood crafting, making furniture, golfing, fishing,  hunting, gardening, landscaping, motorcycling, and cars.

They returned to Cleveland, OH in 2006, settling in Willoughby, OH.

Louis career started at Sealtest Diary Corporation for 19 years before its closing.

He retired as an awarded manager from General Dynamics, and went on to employment at the Department of Transportation.

Louis leaves a loving family to cherish his memory.  Wife Gwendolyn, daughter Stephanie, grandson Nathan, Toni grand-daughter Tiffany, Crystal (Lawrence) grand-daughter Brittany, seven great grandchildren.  Cherished nephew Jackie Bailey, (Lucy).  Niece Deborah Johnson (Tommy deceased) Three grand-nieces and a grand nephew. Many loving cousins & relatives and host of friends.

Louis Interment will be held at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH

Sandra Lynn Sandoval

Sandra Lynn Sandoval (née McElravy) of Mentor, Ohio, has gone home to be with the Lord. Born in Washington, PA to John and Emily McElravy, she was raised in Painesville, Ohio and attended Riverside High School. She worked at the Lake County Center on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Yard Master, Kay Homes, and John D. Gas and Oil before she retired. She lived in Madison, Ohio for many years, with her partner Samuel DeJesus. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, music, laughter, and spending time with her family. Sandra is survived by her father, John B. McElravy of Mentor, brother John E. McElravy(Sue), of Painesville Twp, niece MaryAnn Sulak, and nephew Justin McElravy, daughter Kelly (Mark) Rosipko of Painesville Twp, son Matthew (Stacey) Hovlik of Painesville Twp. She leaves her grandchildren Mark Rosipko, Katie Hovlik, Michaela Rosipko, Erika Hovlik, Morgan Rosipko, and Madison Hovlik and one great granddaughter, Claire. She was preceded in death by her mother Emily McElravy, and her partner Samuel DeJesus. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

E. S. TRACEY

E.S. “Tracey” of Mentor, 71, passed away at home Sunday, December 6, 2020, after battling brain cancer for 29 months. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Anna Tracey, and by siblings Helen, Roger and Joyce.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia (Sears), and their children Carmen (Matt) and Dylan (Alyssa). Also surviving are siblings James (Annette), Nancy (Mike) Greenwalt, and Sharon Cianci, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Tracey proudly served in the United States Air Force as a jet mechanic and was stationed in Alaska, Florida and Korea during the Vietnam era. He was a member of VFW Post 8682 and Amvets Post 109 and a past member of several civic and fraternal organizations in Bowling Green and Mentor, Ohio. He received his undergraduate degree from Gulf Coast Community College and his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Business Administration degrees from the University of West Florida in Panama City. Tracey worked for Modern Woodmen of America since 1986 as a sales representative, district manager and agency manager and earned multiple designations and awards.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife, socializing with friends and clients and working out at the gym. His love for God, family and country along with his honest and easygoing nature will be fondly remembered by many. All arrangements will be private.

Matthew S. Carotenuto

Matthew S. Carotenuto was born March 3,1984 in Euclid, Ohio. He gained his wings way too early on Nov.28,2020. He was a loving son to Barbara Carotenuto(Bittner). He was also a brother to Donovan, Franklin, and Kimberly Carotenuto. Also was an uncle to Robert F. Moats. Matt knew how to light up the room with his smile!

He was preceded with his father Franklin C. Carotenuto. Also with his grandparents Edmund and Josephine Bittner and Carmen and Carmella Carotenuto.

Joan McMillan

Joan McMillan (nee Smrcina), 79, of Perry OH passed Friday, November 27th at Hospice of the Western Reserve. Born in Elyria, she served in the Army until 1961. She worked as a draftsman at Caterpillar until she retired. Captain of The Perry Lady, she was a member of the North Coast Charter Boat Association. She was also a member of St. Cyprian’s Ladies Guild and the Western Reserve Wood Carvers Guild.Joan was preceded in death by her husband, James E. McMillan, parents, Mary Cahill (nee Cada) and Joseph Smrcina, son Charles Smrcina, and stepdaughter Margaret Ann Bilyk. She is survived by her brother David Smrcina (Marlene); nieces Cyndi Kellem, Kimberly Elswick, and Renee Haney; stepchildren Sally Mitchell, James McMillan, and Gregory McMillan; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.There will be a gathering at St. Cyprian Church in Perry from 10-11 a.m. Saturday December 5, followed immediately by a memorial mass.

Adrian "Sam" Kent

Adrian S. "Sam" Kent age 81. Passed away on November 24, 2020. Loving father of Kellie Gamiero (Louis), Michelle Burke (Jeff), and Kim Hess (Ash). Cherished grandfather of Dominic Gamiero, Zach Nemecek, Madison, Samantha, and Cole Hess. Dear brother of Charles Kent, and the late Morton. He was preceded in death by his parents Morton, and Berenice Kent. Adrian enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren, golfing, and riding roller coasters at Cedar Point. Doris Kirkpatrick

Doris Kirkpatrick passed away on November 18, 2020. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Doris lived most of her life in Lake County. She is survived by her children Tamela Drum (fiance Kevin Manges), Pamela (David) Watkins, Edward Sr. (Cathy) Kirkpatrick. Grandchildren Angela, (Billy) Hedrick, Mario Drum, Edward Kirkpatrick Jr. and Tiarra Vincent. Great-grandchildren James Drum, Antabella Hedrick, McKenna Kirkpatrick, Billy Hedrick Jr. and Ethan Howiler. Sister of Glenn Hare, and Sister-in-law of Debbie (Bruce) Crum. She was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Mary Hare, sisters Elva Ware, Constance McIntosh, brothers Robert, James, Raymond, and Donald Hare. Graveside services will be held at Willoughby Cemetery on Sharp Road, Willoughby, OH on Friday November 20, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.

Joseph Evans

Joseph Evans was born in Cleveland, OH in 1960. He was gone from us too soon on November 17, 2020. Beloved son of Louis and Agnes Evans, both deceased. Survived by siblings, sister Rosemary Murphy (Terry), beloved brother of Bernard Evans, loving sister Christine Cognata (James, deceased), and beloved sister Stella Melton. Dearest Uncle to Kevin Murphy (Leah), Dan Murphy (Kristyn), Laurie Fredmonsky (Brian), Jim Cognata, and Ricky Melton. Great uncle to Shay Murphy, Fiona Murphy, Michael Murphy, Gabrielle Cognata, Violet Fredmonsky and Seth Thompson. Joe's brothers and sisters are fondly remembering that Mom always said to "love one another." May he rest in peace.

Marilyn Faye Cavet

Marilyn Faye Cavet (FKA Dilley), 68, of Mentor, OH, died peacefully on November 13, 2020, with her children by her side.

Marilyn was born April 6, 1952, in Long Beach, CA. After rooting her family in Northeast Ohio, she raised seven children and eventually returned to school to become a registered nurse. Through her tireless work ethic, Marilyn served the community as a nurse for over 30 years. Her interests included family, traveling, and crafting. She loved crocheting blankets for her children and grandchildren. Her humor and generosity allowed her to cultivate many friendships, always leaving a smile on people’s faces. Marilyn’s light was an unwavering force that kept the darkness at bay. Her warmth and presence will be deeply missed and cherished by all those who were blessed to know her.

Marilyn is survived by her seven children, Mary Dilley; Lorna Dilley (Peter Coffaro) and their children Sam, Faith, and Julia; Dawn Cavet (Tim DeGroot) and her children Emily and Chad Lasher; Marjorie Dilley (Phil Stone) and their children Ethan, Keaton, and Gavin; Jonathan Dilley and his children Deanna, Emma, Kyle, and Lilly; Christopher Dilley; and Bailey Dilley and her daughter Arabella. She was preceded in death by Blanche Cooley.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland, OH.

Winifred M. Proctor (nee Rosenberger) Beloved wife of Kenneth (deceased); mother of Tommie Ruehr (Anne Greitzer), Douglas Proctor (deceased) (Karen), and Steven Proctor (deceased); grandmother of Michael Proctor, Kenneth Proctor (Karen), Katy Douglass (Benjamin) and Jacob Proctor; great-grandmother of 4.

Ruth Ann Lillstrung

Ruth Ann Lillstrung, age 55 of Painesville, Ohio passed away at Lake west Hospital in Willoughby, Ohio on October 30, 2020. She was born on January 22, 1965 to Paul William Craddock and Patricia Mae Townsend.

Ruth was a creative and free spirit that enjoyed anything that had to do with puzzles, crafting, painting, yard sales and the company of friends and family. Above all Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren, her grandchildren were all that she spoke about.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Steven (Melissa) Craddock of Painesville and James (Sheila) Lillstrung of Mentor. Grandchildren Dylan and Aubrey McCumbers, Jaxson Craddock, Autumn, Juleah and James Lillstrung. Brothers Dan (Faye) Hearn, Bob (Sheryl) Hearn, Brian Hearn, and Fred (Missy) Townsend and Sister Tammy (Richard) Thayer. Nephews and Nieces: Daniel, David (Paige), Melissa, Robby, Ryan, Aleesha (Adam), Brian (Regina), Amanda, Ashley, Katrina (Will), Michelle, Wendy (Marcus), Jimmy, Johnny, David (Emily), and Stephenie (Alex) along with 29 Great nephews and nieces and 3 great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Paul Craddock in 1983, her mother Patricia Townsend in 2012, Brother David in 1969, Grandparents Samuel & Cora Craddock and William & Geraldine McFadden.

Alberta Belle Peairs

Alberta Belle Peairs, age 97 of Middlefield, Ohio passed away on Friday October 23, 2020 at Maplewood Senior Living facility.  She was born December 12, 1922 in Orwell, Ohio to the late David and Ida (Hurd) Moore.  She graduated from Middlefield High School in 1941.  Alberta married Clinton Peairs on February 16, 1944.  They resided in Middlefield, OH where they raised their three sons and ran their family business, Peairs Excavating.  Alberta was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Middlefield and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Burton-Middlefield American Legion.  Prior to her arrival at Maplewood, Alberta loved spending time with family and friends, being with her dog Sam and watching the birds outside her window.  

Alberta is survived by her grandchildren, Charles (Carmella) Thompson, Stephen (Lisa) Peairs, John (Tim Susi) Peairs, Michelle Peairs, great-grandchildren Grace Thompson, Kross Peairs and many nieces and nephews.  Alberta is proceeded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Clinton and her son’s William, James (Linda Peairs) and Lawrence.

At Alberta’s request there will be no public service, she will be laid to rest at the Middlefield Cemetery next to her husband and sons at a private service.

Wendy M. Wright

Wendy M. Wright (nee Mathews), 54 years old, passed away unexpectedly at Metro Hospital on Friday October 23, 2020. She was born in Willoughby on November 2, 1965. She was a Wickliffe Graduate Class of 1984. She enjoyed collecting lighthouses, snowmen, pelicans, and cooking. We all loved and will miss her famous spaghetti and meatballs. With deepest sorrow in our hearts she leaves behind Joanne; (Mother), Son Robert (Elizabeth) Wright , Daughter Mollie (Garrett) Graham, Evan Wright (Grandson), Elizabeth (Sister),  Amber Mathews , Erica Davis, and  Calleigh Jeffers, (Nieces); and Hensley Hood (Great Niece); Michael Davis, and Karen Bock (Best Friends); Aunt, Ruthie and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Sarah Mathews, Lewis and Helen Johnson, her brother Wayne Mathews, Aunt Arlene and Cousin Paul. Tracy J. Gallaher "Big T" age 62, owner of Tracy's Last Chance Garage in Wickliffe. He was born in Euclid graduate of the year '76 and resided in Mentor. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 21, 2020. Loving husband of 43 years to Velma (Mae Long). Devoted father of Nicole D. Gallaher (deceased), and Tracy Jr. (Kayla). Cherished grandfather of Brayden. Brother of Jeff Gallaher. Tracy was a beloved mechanic who loved his cars. He was also a bowler for the Willoughby Eagles mens league. Guy Walker

Guy Walker, age 68 of Mentor, Ohio. Passed away on October 18, 2020 at home. Beloved husband of Yvonne for 42 years. Dearest father of Jamie and Michael. Guy was the son of the late Guy and Lyda Walker. Cherished brother to Debbie and Linda Walker and the following deceased: Larry and Gary.

Guy lived a simple life. He was a very humble and kind hearted man. He loved his family and friends very much. After retiring from The Lincoln Electric Company, Guy enjoyed camping, fishing, music, woodworking, being outdoors, and playing guitar.

A private service will be at a later date. A celebration of his life will be next summer with a tree planting in his backyard.

William J. Kessler

William J. Kessler, age 88 died at home, of natural causes, surrounded by his family on October 15, 2020. William is survived by his loving wife, Helen of 63 years; his daughter, Helen Holbrooks (Richard) of Painesville; son Bill (Patty) of Painesville; and his son, Terry (Yvonne) of Fairport Harbor. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. William was born July 14, 1932 at home. William was a great family man, and a loving father. William loved going to the casinos and gardening. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held in the spring.

Michael J. Kolish

Michael J. Kolish passed away October 14, 2020 at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby surrounded by family. He was born March 19, 1983 in Mayfield Heights. He was a life long resident of Willoughby and lived in Willowick. 

Michael was one of the most kind hearted, genuine, and beautiful souled person, in which everyone who met and knew him loved him. He impacted many lives and always left a powerful and positive impression. Michael is known by “Bird” to many family and friends. 

Michael loved to play poker and was an avid sports fan, especially football and loved being with family and friends. 

He is survived by his mother Karen Schabel Kolish, father Michael (Cindy Sekston) Kolish, sister Alicia Kolish, Aunt Rose Marolt, Uncle Keith (Cindy) Kolish, Uncle Ed (Amy) Schabel, cousins Keith, Jessica and Samantha, and special friend, his fathers and stepmothers dog, Sadie. 

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Michael and Margaret Kolish, maternal grandparents Ed and Evelyn Schabel, cousins Danielle Leigh David and Nicholas Kolish.
